Here’s My Story
I can very easily go down a bad path of being unhealthy and being lazy. It’s so easy for me to get stuck in that rut. I fully realize when I’m there that I need to get my act together. I’m aware that I should not be doing what I’m doing. But it’s hard to change bad habits. It’s so tempting for us to take the easy route in life. It’s so easy to ignore the task that needs to be done because it’s easier to put it off.
I finally came to the realization that taking the easy path is not going to make me feel good in the long run. The enjoyment in the moment does not last long. Choosing the difficult route will make me a better person and bring me happiness long-term. It’s time to get off the couch and get after it. Then I found out that there are 48 4000 footers in NH, where I recently moved to. I decided right then and there that I was setting that goal, and there will be nothing to stop me from accomplishing it. It was summer 2021 when I realized this and set the goal. It’s now November 2021 as I write this. I wasn’t going to set a time frame on when I want to accomplish this, but I have been thinking that I want to complete all 48 by the time I turn 40, which will be 10/18/24. I am holding myself accountable by sharing my journey with anyone interested. You will be able to see my progress as I conquer each peak. And the journey will begin on November 13, 2021.
This site is really for me to force me to focus on this goal. But if you stumble upon it, and enjoy it, that’s great. I hope you enjoy reading about my journey. Maybe it will even inspire you to do something you want to do but have been putting off.
Set goals for yourself. Conquer those goals. No more excuses. Pain is a good thing. It means you’re making progress. Do something difficult. It will make you better in the long term. Go get some everyone. Feel free to reach out if any of this interest you.
